Can decentralised ventilation be retrofitted to an existing home?

One of the key advantages of decentralised ventilation systems is their versatility: they can be installed in both new-build homes and retrofitted into existing properties. Each unit is installed through an external wall and serves an individual room, such as a bedroom, bathroom, or study. Installation requires a single 160 mm wall penetration, which may be suitable for competent DIY installation or can be completed by an electrician. Hard-wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician.

As the Oxxify unit features integrated controls, no additional switches or control hardware are required. Based on our experience, installation typically takes between two and three hours, depending on wall construction, ease of access, and proximity to a power source.
